A not so chilly CHILL OUT!

Today, Year 3 went to Highfield Park to learn orienteering with Helen from Map Runner. We had maps with symbols on and had to navigate around the course. It also incorporated numeracy as we had to use some quick mental addition to make sure we got the correct total!

Her Name is Boudicca! photos and a BIG thank you

A huge congratulations to all of Year 3 who performed brilliantly in their school production of 'Her Name is Boudicca!'

We would also like to extend a massive thanks to Deborah Heath and Barbara Honeyball Young who wrote the play. In addition, Mrs Welland, who made the beautiful backdrop and soldier costumes.

Lastly, thank you to all the parents and carers for providing costumes and ensuring that their child had learnt their lines. Your support has meant a great deal and the children have enjoyed themselves immensely because of it.

Here are some of the photos taken from the big show!

Parent Partners

Year 3 had an exciting Maths lesson on Tuesday! Many parents and carers were able to join us for the morning to see how their children are taught in school.

The children had their knowledge of shape and measure put to the test by designing the teacher a garden!

Look at some of these fabulous designs...

Role Playing in History

We have been getting excited about our Boudicca play and in History, we have been learning all about Boudicca and her rebellion. We even role-played for the afternoon, trying to imagine how the Queen of the Iceni would have felt with the Roman's invading Britain.

Did you know that over 80 000 Britain's lost their lives fighting against the Roman army. Was it for a just cause?

If you were Boudicca, would have fought?

Let us know!
